Do you love the games for the Nintendo 64, but too lazy to get them out of the garage? Are you pissed that the game you want on the Wii's Virtual Console isn't available, or too much? Or does it annoy you that you have to wiggle the cartridge every time the game malfunctions? Then get Project 64 for your computer. Project 64 is a Nintendo 64 emulator that translates controls on the Nintendo 64 controller into buttons on your keyboard, for instance, or a gamepad, thus making the controls as simple as a flash game.
If you're wondering why you can't fit your cartridges in your CD drive, it's because Project 64 doesn't work that way. Project 64 uses ROM files, or virtual copies of games, instead of plastic cases with circuit board strips. These are usually have extensions that start with a letter of the alphabet, and end with 64, such as z64, which is the most common. To load them, put them in a location that would be easy to remember, such as a My Roms folder in My Documents, and then load Project 64 and map it to that location. After that, it's just double click and go.
